Dr. Michael Lemelin

Michael Lemelin Dr. Michael Lemelin graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Illinois in 1979. Born and raised in Massachusetts, he moved back to build and establish New England Animal Hospital in 1982. He has special interests in both medicine and surgery. He is an avid runner and enjoys golfing and collecting duck decoys.

Dr. Nicholas Dagenais

Nicholas Dagenais Dr. Nicholas Dagenais graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1988. Upon graduation, he moved to New England and started his veterinary career at New England Animal Hospital. Dr Dagenais is a companion animal practitioner with special interests in dermatology and surgery. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, landscaping, and his four rescue dogs.

Dr. Sara Schipper

Sara Schipper Dr. Sara Schipper is a native of New England. She graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. Since then she has practiced in both Massachusetts and Iowa. Dr Schipper practices both small animal medicine and surgery and has a special interest in veterinary dentistry. After 10 years in the Midwest, she has returned home with her husband and three children. Dr Schipper enjoys outdoor activities, cooking, gardening and spending time with her family.

Dr. Jason Lord

Jason Lord Dr Jason Lord joined the staff of New England Animal Hospital in 2006. His special interests include small animal medicine, soft tissue surgery and dentistry. He is also very knowledgeable about the management of seizure disorders thanks to his past pet Cooper, a fantastic English foxhound he cared for and owned.

Upon graduation from Westport High School, Jason began his college education at Arcadia University in Philadelphia. During his education Jason took advantage of opportunities that allowed him to work and study at the London Zoo in the U.K, Billabong Wildlife Sanctuary in Australia and Wildlife Conservation in West Africa. He graduated with a degree in Biology and Animal Sciences. Jason then furthered his international education at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts and finished his veterinary education at Purdue University obtaining his doctor of veterinary medicine degree in 2006. Jason is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and is fully licensed in the state of Massachusetts.

Jason resides in Dartmouth with his crew of furry friends made up of 2 dogs named Chainsaw and Melee and 3 rescue cats named Todd, Luke and Jake. His hobbies include playing softball, attending sporting events, collecting U.S. coins and spending time with family and friends.
